The reading bus has a large supply of books and a wide selection to meet an array of interests. All books were donated by patrons and students of the school district. Lunches will be served at Ward Central Elementary and Central Elementary, Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and Fridays, 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Erin Wilkes, Director of Food Services for Cabot Public Schools, invites anyone to take advantage of this program. Each meal that is served to a person 18 or under is reimbursable through the Department of Education, Child Nutrition Department and the adult meals will be funded by the “Share our Strength” grant. There are different days and times available. Each week Hot Spots will focus on authors or genres for different age levels. Hot Spots begins June 3rd and ends August 1st, excluding the first week of July. ~ Kids Bowl Free Noon to 10:00 PM AllFam Bowling, 2350 Lakewood Drive, Cabot, AR / 501.941.3225 NOTE: Pre-registration required Details: Free bowling for kids ages 15 or under. Josh Goolsby is from Cabot. While he was vacationing in Gulf Shores, he drowned in a rip tide. Josh was resuscitated and is in critical condition. He is making progress daily. 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Central Elementary School and Ward Central Elementary School, 1570 Wilson Loop Road, Cabot, AR The Cabot School District will be offering a free SAFE (Safe Activities for Everyone) physical activity program for children and adults. District physical education teachers will open the gymnasiums at Central Elementary and Ward Central Elementary on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10 am until 11 am. Children will be lead through physical activities and will learn about injury prevention and safe outdoor play. Adults will be able to check out pedometers and walk/run around the campus. Pedometers will help adults track distance completed. The program will begin June 10th and end July 18th (No physical activity class on July 4th).
